This is Architect's own farmhouse in Bhugaon, near Pune. The plot admeasuring 1.5 acres, with a lake on the Western side. The house consists of one huge hall, kitchen, family room and bedroom on the ground floor and two bed rooms on the first floor.
All the natural contours are maintained while planning the entire layout. The local stone from the excavation was used to cut the monotony of plastered walls. It is used in ‘random rubble walls’ in the interior as well as exterior walls. The exterior is developed with two pyramidal roof and flat slab in between. The ample sunlight penetrates through the skylight in the central part of the bungalow.
It is an ‘Award winning project’ from the Builders Association of India, Pune chapter.
