Location – Baurundi, Konkan.
Year of Completion – 2013
Area – 3400 sqft
Two friends decided to build bungalows next to each other in Burundi, Konkan. Both of them had different ideas about the house. One wanted to rent it out to different families coming to Konkan and other had idea to build for his family and their friends.
The two plots were adjacent to each other, so we decided not to build a compound wall in between, instead build steps all along to see the mountains and sea in the front. This concept worked very well in reality.
One of those is Mr.Date who wanted a typical Konkan house for his family members and their friends. Because of a sharp slope in the topography, a parking space got created below the ground floor. The top floor is just a terrace with a sloping roof. All local materials are used in the construction.
